The Preliminary Examination of the Civil Services Examination 2013 will be conducted on 26 May 2013 by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for selection of candidates for the Civil Services Main Examination. Lakhs of candidates will appear for exams.
This was the system before a March 5 notification of the Union Public Service Commission made English compulsory for candidates taking the civil services main examination, 2013.
